Recruitment of Teams for the 'Changwon-si Youth Startup Idea Competition'

Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 12th that it is recruiting a total of 30 teams consisting of university students, young entrepreneurs, and technology startup companies within 7 years of establishment to participate in the ‘Changwon Youth Startup Idea Competition’ to be held from November 22.

The ‘Changwon Youth Startup Idea Competition,’ held to discover and support university students and promising young entrepreneurs in the Gyeongnam region, is jointly organized by the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gyeongnam Startup Education Network (regional university startup network of Link 3.0 project teams including Changwon National University and Gyeongnam National University), Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, Changwon Industry Promotion Agency, and Gyeongnam Venture Investment.

Changwon City Social Welfare Meal Management Support Center is operating a promotional booth at the Welfare Expo.

The Youth Startup Idea Competition is divided into three categories by startup stage: university students (preliminary), youth (early), and technology startups (leap). Ten teams are selected in each category through document evaluation. The total of 30 teams selected in the preliminary round will receive practical IR training and mentoring to advance to the finals of the ‘Changwon Youth Startup Idea Competition,’ allowing them to fully demonstrate their capabilities.

The university students (preliminary) category, hosted by the Gyeongnam Startup Education Network, is recruiting 10 teams of university students or startup club teams in the Gyeongnam region until the 31st. Awards include one grand prize team, two excellence awards, two merit awards, and five encouragement awards, with prize money and certificates presented.

The youth (early) category, hosted by the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, is recruiting 10 teams of promising young entrepreneurs within 3 years of establishment in the Gyeongnam region until the 20th. A total of 10 teams will be awarded, including one grand prize team, two excellence awards, and two merit awards.

The technology startup (leap) category, hosted by the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is recruiting 10 teams of technology startup companies located in Changwon City within 7 years of establishment until October 31. Ten teams will be selected and awarded, including one grand prize team, two excellence awards, two merit awards, and five encouragement awards, with prize money and certificates presented.
