Yeongam-gun Hosts Job Fair Attracting Over 500 Job Seekers

On-site Interviews with 30 Companies Among 80+ Hiring Firms Participating

Over 50 Applicants Support... One-Stop Recruitment Service Receives Great Response

Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seung-hee) successfully concluded the ‘2023 Job Fair’ held on the 10th at Samho Indoor Gymnasium, with over 500 job seekers participating, including youth, women, and middle-aged and older adults.

The fair was held as part of Yeongam-gun’s ‘Yeongam-style Employment Social Responsibility System’ under the 8th local government administration, which previously held its first independent job fair in May, supporting the hiring of about 50 people.

Building on that success, this fair was held in connection with demand-tailored vocational skill development training such as caregiver and office administration specialist courses, as well as visiting high school employment consulting.

At the venue, more than 80 recruiting companies participated, including 30 companies conducting on-site interviews in the fields of shipbuilding, medical and healthcare, office work, and service.

Yeongam-gun provided one-stop recruitment services through customized support booths for job seekers, including fingerprint aptitude tests, hairdressing services, ID photo shooting, resume consulting, and handwriting analysis, receiving great responses.

At the fair’s promotional hall, the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation Jeonnam Western Branch, Yeongam-gun Job Cafe, and Yeongam Saeil Center offered various support program information and counseling services. Yeongam-gun and Mokpo City alleviated participants’ inconveniences by operating shuttle buses.

A job seeker who visited the fair said, “I came to the event to find a job, and I was pleased to receive all services at once in a customized way?from hair styling, photo shooting, and resume writing to employment counseling and on-site interviews.”
