Marosol Acquires Robot Platform Company MotionValue

Strengthening Technology for Integrated Robot Solution Provision

Robot solution company Marosol (CEO Kim Min-kyo) announced on the 12th that it has completed the merger by acquiring 100% of the shares of MotionValue, a robot integrated operation management platform company.

Through this acquisition and merger, Marosol plans to absorb MotionValue team's know-how in integrated robot operation management and user-friendly robot solution implementation technology to strengthen its position as a robot technology company and to advance the services provided by Marosol.

Song Jun-bong, CEO of MotionValue, will oversee robot solution development as Marosol's CRO (Chief Robotics Officer). CRO Song graduated from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University and earned his master's and doctorate degrees from the same university. He has served as a researcher at LG Electronics Production Technology Research Institute and as CEO of the media art company Mad Generator. He is recognized as an expert with deep understanding and comprehensive technology in the robot ecosystem.

Kim Man-soo, who served as CTO of MotionValue, graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Computer Engineering and earned his master's degree from the same university. He also worked as a data scientist at SK Hynix. After joining Marosol, Director Kim plans to focus on developing big data and artificial intelligence (AI)-based technologies to process and utilize the vast data collected through the robot control system in a useful form.
