Kim Dong-yeon to Meet 10,000 Gyeonggi Residents on the 21st... 'Handshake Talk' at Suwon Outdoor Music Hall Poster for Matson Talk with the Governor of Gyeonggi Province

Gyeonggi Province will hold the "Handshake Talk with the Governor" on the 21st at the 1st Outdoor Music Hall in Ingye-dong, Suwon, with the participation of 10,000 Gyeonggi residents.

On the 12th, Gyeonggi Province announced that a total of about 21,000 people applied to participate in this event targeted at residents. Among them, Gyeonggi Province selected 10,000 attendees and individually notified them via their registered mobile phone numbers on the 10th.

Gyeonggi Province had previously recruited participants from September 18 to October 3.

The "Handshake Talk with the Governor" is an event prepared by Governor Kim Dong-yeon to communicate with residents. It was originally scheduled for July but was postponed once due to heavy rain damage concentrated in the metropolitan area. At the time of the July event, about 20,000 people applied to participate in the Handshake Talk.

Gyeonggi Province plans to deliver the residents' opinions collected in advance to Governor Kim Dong-yeon and actively consider whether to reflect them in policies.

On this day, to commemorate Gyeonggi Residents' Day (October 18), Gyeonggi Province will hold an awards ceremony for outstanding residents along with various cultural performances featuring singers Park Jung-hyun, Davichi, and Dream With Ensemble.

Lee Won-il, Director of Public Relations Planning for Gyeonggi Province, said, "Despite the postponement once in July, we sincerely thank all residents for their great interest and participation, and at the same time, we deeply regret that we could not invite everyone due to safety reasons. We will do our best to make this event a place of communication and harmony with residents in celebration of Residents' Day."
