Gwangju Dong-gu Focuses on Promoting the 'Carbon Neutral Point System'

Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City conducted promotional activities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions targeting locations that participated in the 'Carbon Neutral Point System Excellent Apartment Selection' project.

The 'Carbon Neutral Point System' has been implemented since 2008 with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through residents' voluntary energy saving and spreading low-carbon eco-friendly lifestyles.

Participants receive incentives (up to 50,000 points annually) based on the greenhouse gas reduction rate when they reduce usage of electricity, water supply, city gas, etc., at home or in apartment complexes.
