The Severance Hospital Liver Center will hold a public lecture on liver diseases for the general public at 2 p.m. on the 17th in the Seoam Auditorium on the third basement floor of Yonsei Cancer Hospital.
Organized in collaboration with the Korea Liver Foundation and the Korean Association for the Study of the Liver, this public lecture is open to anyone interested in types, causes, and treatments of liver diseases, including patients and caregivers, without prior registration.
The lecture will feature professors from the Severance Hospital Liver Center, as well as specialists in gastroenterology and transplant surgery, who will introduce liver diseases in an easy-to-understand manner for the general public.
The lecture will cover ▲Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which has been increasing recently (Professor Kim Beom-kyung, Gastroenterology) and ▲Treatment methods for chronic viral hepatitis according to causes (Professor Kim Mina, Gastroenterology).
Following this, it will address ▲From diagnosis to treatment of liver cancer (Professor Lee Hye-won, Gastroenterology) and ▲Who and when should receive a liver transplant (Professor Lee Jae-geun, Transplant Surgery). Finally, ▲Guidance on diet and exercise for patients with various liver diseases (Clinical Nurse Specialist Moon Jin-hee, Liver Center) will provide essential information not only for patients but also for caregivers.
