The Korea Exchange announced on the 10th that it will hold an event selling various secondhand goods for three days starting from the 11th.
The 'KRX ESG MARKET' event, held near the Korea Exchange Seoul office building in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., will feature the sale of about 500 secondhand items such as clothing and accessories donated by employees. Through this, the event aims to practice eco-friendly management and share the value of environmental protection through resource circulation.
All proceeds from the sales will be donated to 'Areumdawoon Gage' to support self-reliant youth (former wards of the state).
About 30 social enterprises and small business owners will participate in this event to sell various eco-friendly themed products, including upcycled goods.
A Korea Exchange official stated, "We will continue to lead the spread of ESG management culture by holding various events to promote environmental management and social value enhancement."
