Korean Local Finance Association Donates 100 Million Won Disaster Recovery Support Fund to Sinan-gun

The Korea Local Finance Association (Chairman Lee In-jae), under the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, visited Sinan County on the 10th and delivered 100 million won in disaster recovery financial support.


This disaster recovery support fund was provided to Sinan County, which was declared a special disaster area due to the heavy rain in July, to aid in damage restoration.

According to Sinan County, the Korea Local Finance Association is a public interest corporation with members including local governments nationwide and investment and contribution institutions, carrying out various financial support projects. Since 2012, as part of member support projects, it has been providing disaster recovery costs to local governments declared as special disaster areas.


Yang Young-cheol, Head of Management Innovation at the Korea Local Finance Association, said, “We hope the association’s support funds will contribute to the swift recovery of Sinan County’s damages,” and added, “We will continue to actively promote various member support projects to contribute to financial support for local governments.”


Park Woo-ryang, County Governor, expressed gratitude, saying, “We appreciate the association’s interest and support,” and stated, “We will do our best to use the provided funds for relief activities for local residents and the rapid restoration of damaged facilities.”
