Gwangju Bitgoeul 50+ Center announced on the 6th that it participated in the '2023 Gwangju-Jeonnam Win-Win Job Fair' hosted by Gwangju Metropolitan City and Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, and organized by multiple related organizations including the Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation, providing on-site support and encouragement activities for middle-aged job seekers.
The event was held at the exhibition hall on the 1st floor of the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Seo-gu, Gwangju, where recruiting companies participated, conducting job interviews, employment consulting, and promotion of employment policies.
Gwangju Bitgoeul 50+ Center operated a promotional booth aiming to raise awareness about retirement preparation among the middle-aged, provide on-site interview opportunities for center participants engaged in direct jobs, and assist in transitioning to private sector jobs.
A representative from Gwangju Bitgoeul 50+ Center said, "Although middle-aged citizens have retired from their lifelong workplaces with tears due to age restrictions and mandatory retirement, their desire to work is higher than any other group and they possess excellent skills. We hope that job-seeking activities for the middle-aged generation will be regularly conducted so that both companies and job seekers can smile and be happy together."
