Travel YouTuber and Broadcaster 'GwakTube'
Clarifies Rumors About Radio Show Appearance
Travel YouTuber and broadcaster GwakTube (real name Gwak Junbin) addressed the rumors about his "10 billion KRW income."
On the 5th, GwakTube appeared on KBS CoolFM's "Park Myungsoo's Radio Show" and had a conversation.
On the day, Park Myungsoo introduced GwakTube, saying, "This person is a major star on YouTube. Whenever he appears on TV or online video services (OTT), it becomes a huge hit. He has a whopping 1.7 million YouTube subscribers and a cumulative view count of 390 million."

Park Myungsoo directly asked GwakTube, "Is it true that you earned 10 billion KRW from YouTube?" GwakTube replied, "How easily do people think YouTubers make money to believe I earned 10 billion KRW in just three years? It's amazing that people believe that."
When Park Myungsoo asked again, "Isn't it possible if you combine YouTube ad revenue and other income?" GwakTube answered, "Absolutely not. To make 10 billion KRW, you need about 100 million subscribers." He added, "Even if you add up everything I've earned so far, it doesn't even come close to 10 billion KRW."
Regarding whether he has many female fans, GwakTube said, "Not many, but there seems to be some demand. They don't like me as a boyfriend or romantically, but more like a younger brother or a neighbor older brother."
Park Myungsoo mentioned a recent appearance with GwakTube on the YouTube channel of the production company TEO, run by PD Kim Taeho, where they held a "Variety Show General Meeting," saying, "Lee Kyunggyu, myself, and Hong Jinkyung were all there, and it was nice to see GwakTube confidently and entertainingly share his thoughts without losing his spirit," praising him.
In response to Park Myungsoo's compliment, GwakTube said, "Honestly, I was extremely nervous then. It was like an homage to the program we did before ('Infinite Challenge' Variety Show General Meeting episode). I liked it so much that I was nervous going in." He added, "They asked me to diss established celebrities there. I did it because I got paid," revealing behind-the-scenes stories.
Meanwhile, GwakTube is currently gaining attention for appearing in Netflix's brain survival game "Devil's Plan." Reflecting on his performance, GwakTube said, "I grew up watching (Park Myungsoo) hyung. Since it was 'Devil's Plan,' I played the devil, but simultaneously gaining favor is really not an easy play. I just played the devil."
