Studio Mir to Oversee Production of Netflix Animation 'Devil May Cry'

Studio Mir, a KOSDAQ-listed company, has begun overall production of the new Netflix animation "Devil May Cry."

Studio Mir announced on the 4th that the official teaser video for the Netflix animation "Devil May Cry," which it is producing in-house, was released on YouTube through Netflix.

This work, based on the world of the popular game "Devil May Cry" by global game company Capcom, is being produced under Studio Mir's overall production system, with participation from the scenario stage. A total of 8 episodes are planned to be produced.

"Devil May Cry" is a stylish action game where the protagonist "Dante" defeats demons. Since its first release in 2001, it has been released up to Season 5 in 2019. At The Game Awards (TGA) 2019, it also won the Best Action Game of the Year award.

As Korea's number one animation overall production company, Studio Mir has continuously proven its business competitiveness through collaborations with various global OTT platforms including Netflix, by consecutively releasing major animations such as the Star Wars Visions series this year and the full CGI animation "Babylon 5: The Road Home."

A Studio Mir representative said, "This 'Devil May Cry' work is based on a game IP with a global fandom, and an original animation story has been composed. It received great responses after being revealed at the recent Netflix 'Drop01' event. It is especially highly anticipated among Netflix's lineup in the second half of this year, and since the Studio Mir production team is putting their utmost effort into it, we ask for your continued interest and warm encouragement."
