20s Woman Seriously Injured, Vehicle Damaged
The head part of the 'Geobukbawi' rock, a tourist attraction in Namyang-ri, Seomyeon, Ulleung-gun, Gyeongbuk, collapsed, causing about 400 tons of falling rocks to cover four tourists.
According to the Gyeongbuk Fire Headquarters on the 2nd, the accident occurred around 6:56 a.m., resulting in a woman in her 20s sustaining a serious head injury. Another woman in her 20s and two men in their 30s were also injured and transported to a nearby hospital, but their lives are not in danger. One vehicle parked under the rock was also damaged.

The police have blocked access around the accident site and are investigating the exact cause of the accident. It is known that they were camping, including car camping, near Geobukbawi when the accident occurred.
Earlier, on the 24th of last month, a landslide occurred in Hyeonpo-ri, Buk-myeon, Ulleungdo, covering the Ulleung Ilju Road with 18,000 tons of rocks and soil, causing a complete traffic shutdown.
