Wins 'Energy Efficiency Award' for Energy Savings

Cuckoo Electronics has upgraded the design of its ‘Crosscut Bidirectional Rotating Blade Blender’ equipped with bidirectional simultaneous rotating blades and released the 2023 model.

The blender’s paradigm has been changed by designing the upper and lower blades to rotate in opposite directions. The upper blades rotate at approximately 12,000 RPM (revolutions per minute), creating convection to crush large-volume ingredients. The lower blades rotate counterclockwise at 4,000 RPM, drawing ingredients downward to grind them more finely.

The blade section of the container, where centrifugal force acts, is designed narrowly, while the opening is designed wide to maximize vertical convection. The capacity has also increased from the previous 1.5ℓ to 2ℓ. Additionally, by applying a low RPM and noise control circuit, the noise level has been reduced from 89dB (decibels) in the previous model to 83.5dB. The motor saves about 73% more energy compared to the previous model and reduces the time required for complete cutting to one-third, also controlling heat generation. It features five manual operation levels and four automatic menus (juice, smoothie, ice, grinding) to grind ingredients appropriately. The new product won the ‘Energy Efficiency Award’ at the ‘Energy Winner of the Year Awards,’ which honors products with high energy efficiency or carbon neutrality.

Safety and hygiene have also been enhanced. The four upper blades and two lower blades are made of stainless steel. The container is made from Tritan material, which is also used for baby bottles, and the blades and container can be separated for cleaning. Various safety features are standard, including a lid separation detection device, overheating prevention system, blade restraint detection system, and cooling circulation system.

The simple design improves aesthetics and ease of operation. Unlike previous models, the overall tone is white with silver accents. The rounded design emphasizes softness.
