2nd Place in Qualifiers with 4 Minutes 06 Seconds 47
The South Korean women's medley relay team advanced to the final of the Hangzhou Asian Games as the second place in the preliminaries. With strong gold medal contender China disqualified for a false start, South Korea now has a chance to aim for the gold medal.
On the 29th, at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center in Zhejiang Province, China, during the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games women's medley relay 400m preliminaries, backstroker Lee Eun-ji (17, Bangsan High School), breaststroker Kim Hye-jin (28, Jeonbuk Sports Council), butterfly swimmer Park Su-jin (24, Gyeongbuk Provincial Office), and freestyler Jung So-eun (27, Ulsan Metropolitan City Hall) entered the water in order and finished second with a time of 4 minutes 06.47 seconds.

China touched the pad first, but their first swimmer Wang Xue'er (backstroke) was disqualified for a false start. Japan finished first overall with 4 minutes 02.33 seconds, and South Korea secured the ticket to the final in second place, 4.14 seconds behind Japan.
In the final, only Lee Eun-ji among the four swimmers who competed in the preliminaries will remain, and the other three members are expected to be replaced. The exact final lineup has not yet been decided.
