Blood Alcohol Level at License Revocation Threshold
A member of the Busan Buk-gu Council was referred to the prosecution on charges of causing a traffic accident while intoxicated.
On the 27th, the Busan Bukbu Police Station announced that Councilor A, affiliated with the Busan Buk-gu Council, was sent to prosecution without detention on charges including drunk driving.
According to the police, Councilor A is accused of driving under the influence and hitting a parked vehicle on a road in Hwamyung-dong, Buk-gu, Busan, around 10:50 PM on the 2nd.
Councilor A was caught at the scene by the police following a citizen's report who witnessed the accident. The police measured Councilor A's blood alcohol concentration, which was found to be 0.08% or higher, the level for license cancellation.
