Ordered Thorough Inspection of 24-Hour Dispatch Readiness and Response

Hong Young-geun, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, visited the 119 Aviation Unit located in Yeongam-gun to encourage the members and have a time of communication.


According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 27th, Director Hong, who received a report on current tasks that day, inspected the 24-hour readiness of the fire helicopter dispatch and ordered thorough response during the special Chuseok holiday alert duty period.

Since its establishment in 1999, the Jeonnam 119 Aviation Unit has achieved 7,200 hours of accident-free safe flights over 23 years and is leading the realization of a safe Jeonnam through realistic training and flawless disaster preparedness.


Director Hong said, “Given the characteristics of Jeonnam, which has many islands, the role of the aviation unit is more important than anything else for rapid on-site response,” and added, “I hope you do your best to provide a high-quality aviation service.”


Meanwhile, from 6 p.m. on the 27th to 9 a.m. on October 4th, Jeonnam Fire will establish a command system centered on station chiefs, and more than 4,000 firefighting officials will engage in special alert duty to ensure a safe and comfortable Chuseok for the residents.
