Samsung Heavy Industries has become the first in the shipbuilding industry to simultaneously obtain the International Organization for Standardization's 'Compliance Management System (ISO 37301)' and 'Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO 37001)' certifications from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

On the 26th, Samsung Heavy Industries announced that it held an integrated certification awarding ceremony at its Pangyo R&D Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, attended by CEO Jeong Jin-taek and LRQA CEO Lee Il-hyung, among other officials.

ISO 37301 and 37001, established by the International Organization for Standardization, are international certifications awarded based on the systematic management of corporate compliance and anti-corruption management systems. Samsung Heavy Industries stated, "The integrated certification acquisition internationally recognizes our compliance policies, risk response systems, and anti-corruption systems across all management activities."

Since 2019, it has been improving its compliance program through external professional organizations and conducting customized compliance training by rank and job for all employees, actively engaging in compliance risk prevention activities.

Jeong Jin-taek, CEO of Samsung Heavy Industries, said, "With this integrated certification, Samsung Heavy Industries' efforts and capabilities for compliance and ethical management have been internationally recognized. We will continue to enhance compliance trust with customers and stakeholders and establish a global-level compliance management culture to strengthen ESG management."
