Daejeon City announced on the 25th that the auction schedules (whether closed or not) for each corporation at Noeun and Ojeong Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Markets differ during the Chuseok holiday, so it is necessary to check in advance when using these markets.
At Ojeong Wholesale Market, neither the fruit and vegetable corporations nor the marine products corporations will conduct auctions from the 29th of this month to the 1st of next month. Also, at Noeun Wholesale Market, the fruit and vegetable corporations will be closed from the 29th of this month to the 1st of next month, and the marine products corporations will be closed from the 29th to the 30th of this month.
However, only the auction operations of the wholesale market corporations will not be conducted during this period, and intermediate wholesalers will autonomously decide whether to operate. From the early morning of the 2nd of next month, the final day of the Chuseok holiday, all auctions will resume normal operation.
To facilitate users, Ojeong Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market plans to open its parking lot free of charge from the 26th of this month to the 1st of next month, when many visitors are expected. The parking lot at Noeun Agricultural and Marine Products Wholesale Market is available for free use at all times.
The Chuseok holiday auction schedule can be checked on the Noeun and Ojeong Wholesale Market Management Office websites.
Im Seong-bok, head of the Agricultural Life Policy Division of Daejeon City, said, “We will do our best to stabilize the supply and demand of agricultural and marine products so that citizens do not experience inconvenience when using the wholesale markets during the Chuseok holiday.”
