Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office requested participation in using public transportation instead of private cars to mark 'World Car-Free Day (September 22)'.
The Yeongsangang Office sought cooperation from local governments and public institutions to promote green living through measures such as using public transportation during commuting hours, voluntarily limiting parking lot usage, posting pop-ups on websites, and advertising on road electronic billboards.
On the 21st, Park Yeon-jae, head of the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, said, "If the use of public transportation instead of private cars, as well as activities like cycling and walking, spreads, it will greatly contribute not only to energy saving but also to improving air quality."
