On the 21st, the People Power Party criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is continuing his hunger strike and effectively mentioned the rejection of the arrest consent motion, calling it a "shielding show for rejection."
Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, held an on-site Supreme Council meeting in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and pointed out, "While the entire party is struggling in filth due to his local corruption, he shows no remorse and is using the parliamentary seat and leadership position he secured last year to protect his privileges."

Kim said, "He openly declared in the plenary session only three months ago that he would waive his immunity from arrest regarding political investigations, that if an arrest warrant was requested, he would voluntarily appear for the warrant review and expose the prosecution's recklessness. However, he is now breaking that promise and refusing to keep his word. I believe the public will wield the whip against such a party of lies and deception."
Yoon Jae-ok, floor leader, also pointed out, "Through SNS, he effectively gave the order to reject the arrest consent motion," adding, "He is trying to turn the request for an arrest warrant over his personal corruption into a confrontation between the prosecution and the Democratic Party, disguising the shielding vote as a democratic struggle, which is a political tactic."
Yoon criticized, "Again, when I said I would waive immunity from arrest, did you really think I would? Are you planning to brush it off? It is clear that the absurd dismissal motion against the Prime Minister, who has not violated the Constitution or laws, is a Democratic Party trick to dilute the shielding issue."

He continued, "The public is watching whether Democratic Party lawmakers will choose the path of saving Korean politics and the Democratic Party by approving the arrest consent motion, or choose the path of saving only Lee Jae-myung by rejecting the motion and causing everyone else to perish," adding, "If the Democratic Party approves the arrest consent motion, it will reveal itself before the entire nation as a fandom party disguised as a people's party, a party that can break promises to the people at any time, and a shielding party that recklessly protects its own."
He emphasized, "I hope lawmakers carefully consider which aligns more with their duty as members of the National Assembly: following the orders of 'Gaeddal' or following the common sense of the people that no one should enjoy shielding privileges regarding corruption allegations, and then participate in the vote on the arrest consent motion."
