Icheon-si Supports Language and Certification Exam Fees for Unemployed Youth

'Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project'
Up to 300,000 KRW in Actual Expenses Supported Three Times a Year

On the 21st, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will promote the "Gyeonggi Youth Capacity Building Opportunity Support Project," which provides support for language and qualification exam fees for unemployed youth in the area from October 2 to November 30.

Icheon-si Supports Language and Certification Exam Fees for Unemployed Youth

The supported exam fees include 19 types of language tests including TOEIC, 544 types of Korean history and national technical qualifications, and 95 types of nationally certified private qualifications. Exams taken after January 1 of this year are eligible for support.


The support amount is up to 100,000 KRW per exam, with actual expenses covered up to three times a year. Regardless of the exam score or pass/fail status, applications can be made retroactively if the exam was taken this year.


Applicants must be unemployed youth aged 19 to 34 (born between January 2, 1988, and January 1, 2004), residing in Gyeonggi Province and registered as residents in Icheon City as of January 1 this year. Unemployment status is based on the exam date.


Those wishing to apply can do so online through the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system (Jobaba Apply app).
