Korbit, Shinhan Card and Good Neighbors Global Impact Launch NFT Donation Campaign

Korbit, Shinhan Card and Good Neighbors Global Impact Launch NFT Donation Campaign

Domestic virtual asset exchange Korbit announced on the 21st that it will launch an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) donation certificate non-fungible token (NFT) campaign in collaboration with Shinhan Card and the Good Neighbors Global Impact Foundation.

This donation campaign targets the 'Cambodia Auto Rickshaw Transportation Cooperative Project,' which Good Neighbors Global Impact is conducting to create jobs and promote economic independence for vulnerable groups and youth in the Dangkao area of Cambodia.

To participate in the campaign running until December 18, users can select the Auto Rickshaw Donation Certificate NFT campaign from the donation menu called Areumin within Shinhan Card's ShinhanpLay application, complete the donation using Shinhan Card points or card payment, and then apply for the NFT by moving to the NFT application guidance page through a separate popup window. Korbit plans to airdrop the NFTs in December, and the donation certificate NFTs can be viewed on Korbit's NFT marketplace and the MyNFT service within the ShinhanpLay app.

The campaign made diverse use of NFTs. First, instead of signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) during the agreement signed by the three parties on the 11th, they replaced it with an MOU partnership certificate NFT shared among the three organizations for the donation campaign. Additionally, the NFT’s illustrated images were created through the talent donation of artist Park Hye-geun, who works on children’s storybooks, educational materials, and characters, depicting Cambodian youth happily operating auto rickshaws, adding meaningful value to the good cause.
