Energy Corporation Holds Small Business Partnership Event to Revitalize Local Commercial Districts

The Korea Energy Agency, together with Ulsan Jung-gu Office and local small business owners, held the 'Win-Win Cooperation Accompaniment Event with Local Residents' to revitalize the local commercial district. This event was organized as part of a business agreement (MU) between public institutions in Ulsan Innovation City and Jung-gu Office in April, aimed at supporting local small business owners struggling due to rising prices and economic downturn by promoting their products and expanding sales channels.

Over two days, from the 20th to the 21st, the event took place at the agency's headquarters, with about 20 small business companies participating to showcase various products including eco-friendly food, daily necessities, crafts, and Ulsan regional goods.

The agency operated a flea market using donated items from its employees to raise funds to support vulnerable groups in the region. Remaining flea market items will be donated to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as Beautiful Store.

Additionally, a carbon-neutral promotion booth was set up where visitors could experience reducing 1kWh per day, local food, and upcycling, providing guidance on practical ways to achieve significant savings through small daily efforts.

Lee Sang-hoon, Director of the Energy Agency, said, "I hope this accompaniment event helps revitalize local small business owners and provides enjoyment to consumers participating in the event, making it meaningful for everyone. We will continue to strive to create a communication platform that listens and supports on-site for the local economy of Ulsan."
