CEO Park is originally from Gangjin, Jeonnam. He graduated from Gwangju High School in 1976 and majored in accounting at Dongguk University in 1980.
He joined Shinsegae in 1985 and served as manager, team leader, and senior manager in management control. In December 2004, he became executive director in charge of planning at Shinsegae's Management Support Office, and in 2007, he was appointed vice president and head of the Shinsegae Department Store Division Support Headquarters.
Afterward, CEO Park served as vice president and head of the Emart Strategic Management Headquarters in 2011, and in 2013, he was vice president and head of the Shinsegae Support Headquarters. Since 2016, he has been serving as CEO of Central City.
Through this appointment, CEO Park will concurrently serve as CEO of Shinsegae and CEO of Shinsegae Central City.
