Wando Education Love Council Holds ESG Education Seminar

Wando Education Love Council announced on the 20th that it held an education seminar at the main conference room of Wando Office of Education, attended by more than 50 education officials and parents.


The event was held to explore future talent education plans for Wando based on education governance involving the public, private, industry, and academia sectors, and to activate local residents' participation in educational autonomy.


Wando Education Love Council Holds ESG Education Seminar The Wando Education Love Association held a seminar on 'ESG and Future Talent Education' at the Wando Office of Education.

The event was conducted with a special lecture by Lee Seo, an officer from Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, on the theme of "ESG and Future Talent Education" in conjunction with practicing carbon neutrality.


The "Wando Education Love Council" is an organization established in 2021 to promote the development of Wando education through cooperation among local governments and educational institutions. The council holds regular monthly meetings to listen to voices from the education field and carries out various activities such as hosting seminars for the advancement of Wando education.


Chairman An Bong-il said, "This seminar was held to raise awareness of the importance of ESG among local residents and to explore ways to practice carbon neutrality," adding, "We plan to unite efforts for the launch of the ESG Education Development Committee and the development of sustainable ESG policies for Jeonnam education."


He continued, "The council will strive to propose the voices from the education field to Wando County and the Office of Education to resolve issues and to activate projects that have been visualized," adding, "We are also exploring plans for the future establishment of the Wando Education Foundation and the revitalization of village schools for the development of Wando education."


Superintendent Kim Jeong-seon stated, "Based on education governance involving the public, private, industry, and academia sectors, we will cooperate with the 'Wando Education Love Council,'" and added, "We will continue to communicate tirelessly with local residents interested in education and do our best for the development of Wando education."
