Pohang City Participates in Korea's Largest Hydrogen Specialty Exhibition 'H2MEET 2023'

Promotion of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cluster

Pohang City participated in the ‘H2MEET 2023’ held at KINTEX in Goyang City from the 13th to the 15th, jointly with Gyeongbuk Province and Pohang Technopark.

Pohang City, which operated a promotional booth at 'H2MEET 2023' held at KINTEX in Goyang City in collaboration with Gyeongbuk Province and Pohang Technopark.

Now in its 4th edition, ‘H2MEET 2023’ is the world’s first and Korea’s largest hydrogen industry specialized exhibition and conference, hosting 280 companies and organizations from 17 countries worldwide, making it the largest event to date.

Following the preliminary feasibility study approval for the hydrogen fuel cell cluster in July, the city, together with Pohang Technopark, set up a 72㎡ promotional booth at this exhibition?the first since the approval?to promote the hydrogen fuel cell cluster and attract companies.

At the Pohang City promotional booth, various hydrogen industry infrastructures and development policies were introduced, including the hydrogen fuel cell cluster, hydrogen city development projects, support projects for nurturing prospective hydrogen-specialized companies, and the hydrogen fuel cell certification center, highlighting Pohang’s future vision as a central city in the hydrogen economy.

In particular, the booth attracted attention from various companies such as POSCO E&C and HD Hyundai Electric, who visited to learn more about the Pohang hydrogen fuel cell cluster and the hydrogen fuel cell certification center.

A Pohang City official stated, “Starting with this exhibition, we plan to participate in various domestic and international hydrogen specialized exhibitions to fully commit to attracting companies and establishing industry-academia-research networks,” adding, “We will spare no effort to promote Pohang as an ideal city for hydrogen companies to operate.”
