The labor and management of Lotte Chemical (勞使) gathered in one place to strengthen cooperation for ESG practice and the development of labor-management culture.
On the 14th, Lotte Chemical held the 'Labor-Management Win-Win Declaration Ceremony for ESG Practice' at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, with Kim Gyo-hyun, Vice Chairman and Head of Lotte Group's Chemical Division, Hwang Jin-gu, CEO of Lotte Chemical Basic Materials Business, and the labor union chairpersons and general factory managers of the Yeosu, Daesan, and Ulsan plants, the company announced on the 17th.
This is the first time that labor and management representatives from the Yeosu, Daesan, and Ulsan plants have gathered in one place to make a joint declaration.
Lotte Chemical's labor and management agreed to do their best together at each plant to become a sustainable company and a company where everyone is happy, based on a creative labor-management culture.

Through this declaration, Lotte Chemical's labor and management plan to actively participate in the future changes of each plant to achieve the 2030 vision. Labor and management agreed to practice carbon neutrality and eco-management, create social values of circulation and coexistence, and jointly strive to lead eco-friendly future businesses. The company promised to do its best to strengthen competitiveness, such as employment stability and productivity improvement, and to actively communicate and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to foster a healthy organizational culture together with labor.
CEO Hwang said, “To expand eco-friendly future new businesses and promote carbon-neutral growth at a rapid pace, it is important to expand cooperation among plants and the commitment of employees to ESG management,” adding, “Lotte Chemical will do its best to strengthen business competitiveness and establish advanced labor-management relations.”
Vice Chairman Kim said, “I hope that the united labor and management through this win-win declaration will play a driving role in the company's development,” and “I expect the positive influence of labor-management cooperation culture to expand throughout the affiliates within Lotte Group's Chemical Division.”
