Geumcheon-gu Youth Family Camp 'Uri Gajok Momtok, Ma-eumtok Camp' Held

Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the Geumcheon-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center will hold the "Our Family Body Talk, Mind Talk Camp" on September 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event was organized to encourage healthy growth by allowing youth to feel a sense of bonding within their families through experiential activities that promote mutual communication.

The Geumcheon-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center recruited 10 families (2 people per family) with children in grades 3 to 6 of elementary school.

The "Our Family Body Talk, Mind Talk Camp" consists of two programs: "Communication (Skinship) Yoga" and "Making Beautiful Family Masterpiece Frames."

Parents and children will engage in communication (skinship) yoga activities to relax their bodies and minds, and spend time connecting and cooperating through physical contact. They will also create a one-of-a-kind family frame using various art supplies (canvas, acrylic paint, etc.) and horticultural materials (preserved flowers). While doing art activities, they will discuss the meaning of family and spend time understanding each other.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, "I hope families can build intimacy and bonds by physically and emotionally connecting and communicating with each other," adding, "We will continue to support various programs for the healthy growth of youth."

For more details, inquiries can be made to the Geumcheon-gu Office Child and Youth Division or the Geumcheon-gu Youth Counseling and Welfare Center.
