VT's cosmetics division, VT Cosmetic, announced on the 14th that it achieved record-high sales during the Q3 Qoo10 'Mega Wari' event and Rakuten 'Super Sale' event.
Qoo10 and Rakuten are leading online shopping malls in Japan, each holding major quarterly discount events called Mega Wari (Mega Discount) and Super Sale, respectively.
Sales from the Qoo10 Mega Wari event and Rakuten Super Sale event grew by 61.4% and 36.9%, respectively, compared to the previous quarter. Year-over-year, sales increased by 97.1% on Qoo10 and 109.1% on Rakuten.
The recently officially launched 'Reedle Shot Line' in Japan led the sales growth. This product combines the 'CICA REEDLE' ingredient with microneedles, where the natural micro-needles are coated with CICA components, providing various benefits such as skin regeneration, soothing, and strengthening the moisture barrier.
Currently, the 'Zozoweek' discount event at Zozotown is underway. Zozotown is Japan's largest fashion platform. The enthusiasm for new products, including the 'Reedle Shot Line,' is accelerating during this Zozoweek. The event started on the 12th and will continue until the 24th. Additionally, year-end events are scheduled in November across various online platforms including Rakuten, Qoo10, Amazon, and Yahoo.
A VT representative stated, “With the addition of the Reedle Shot Line to our existing product lineup, interest from Japanese consumers continues to rise. Based on this positive momentum, it is meaningful that the Qoo10 and Rakuten discount events have achieved even better results following the previous quarter.”
They added, “In Q4, we plan to further increase production to actively respond to growing demand from multiple countries including Korea, and continue our growth into next year. We will not be complacent with our achievements and will continue to develop new products that meet consumer expectations to maintain maximum sales.”
