Sacheon-si, Digital Twin Adoption Smart City Construction Business Agreement Sacheon City signed a business agreement to establish a digital twin-based smart city.

The main contents of the agreement include mutual information and technology sharing for realizing a digital twin-based smart city, joint use of administrative and industrial service models based on the Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation platform, platform maintenance and management for smart administration and industrial support, and the establishment of a mutual support system.

The signing ceremony was attended by about 10 people, including Mayor Park Dongsik, responsible public officials, and Bae Jongwook, head of the Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation.

Digital twin is a 3D modeling platform that reproduces the actual city's spaces and objects identically in a virtual space like twins. It can solve complex urban problems and realize a sustainable smart city.

This is because various data are synchronized to analyze and test real-world problems in virtual space.

Meanwhile, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation is an institution that supports the establishment of the national spatial information system and conducts research and development on spatial information and cadastral systems. This year, it was designated as the national specialized institution for the national virtual model (digital twin) land.

Mayor Park said, "We will do our best to revitalize and expand the base of digital twin-based smart cities to contribute to improving living conditions and creating a better future."
