Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the 13th that KD Market (CEO Choi Young-soo) donated 500 sets of health supplements (worth approximately 10.5 million KRW) to low-income and vulnerable groups ahead of the traditional Korean holiday, Chuseok.

The donation ceremony was held at the mayor’s reception room on the 5th floor of the district office, attended by Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, Choi Young-soo, CEO of KD Market, and other officials.

This donation marks the third ceremony following similar contributions during last year’s Chuseok and this year’s Lunar New Year. The donated items, the same as before, included 250 sets each of Red Ginseng Extract and Black Balloon Flower Pear Sticks, which are representative products of Gyeongdong Market.

The donated items will be distributed to low-income and vulnerable elderly residents within Dongdaemun-gu to help them have a healthy Chuseok holiday.

Choi Young-soo, CEO of KD Market, expressed his hope that “the donations reach those in need so that neighbors facing difficulties can spend the holiday without loneliness and in good health,” and added, “KD Market will continue to do its best to contribute to the health improvement of the district’s residents.”

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “I am grateful to the officials who have come together with warm hearts for our neighbors during the Chuseok holiday,” and added, “We will ensure that these gifts are delivered to the residents who truly need them, conveying warmth and hope.”
