Open for 5 Days from the 20th to 24th Ahead of Chuseok
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 13th that it will hold a 'Direct Market for Agricultural and Specialty Products' at the city hall square for five days from the 20th to the 24th ahead of Chuseok.
This direct market is being held again after three years of suspension due to COVID-19.
About 20 companies will participate in the market. In addition to Osan City's agricultural and specialty products, sales booths will be operated by sister cities including Yeongdong-gun in Chungbuk, Sokcho-si in Gangwon, Suncheon-si and Jindo-gun in Jeonnam, as well as Jangsu-gun in Jeonbuk.
The main items for sale include fruits, salted seafood, dried seafood, seafood such as abalone, livestock products (Korean beef), local specialty liquors, processed black goat products, halophytes, traditional sauces, and traditional teas.
Lee Gwon-jae, mayor of Osan City, said, "This will be an opportunity for Osan citizens to purchase high-quality agricultural and specialty products at affordable prices for Chuseok," expressing his hope for active participation from many citizens.
