Prospects for Kim Jong-un's Destination
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on the 12th (local time) that he plans to visit the Vostochny Cosmodrome, which is mentioned as a destination during North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia.
According to major foreign media, President Putin said at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) held in Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, Russia, that he plans to visit the Vostochny Cosmodrome, adding, "You will know when I go there." However, he did not mention Chairman Kim.
On the same day, the special train carrying Chairman Kim passed Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai, which was initially a strong candidate for the destination, and is moving toward Khabarovsk Krai and Amur Oblast, located further north. This has led to speculation that the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Amur Oblast might be the destination.
