Jangseong-gun to Operate Memorial Park Normally During Chuseok Holiday

Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that the Memorial Park will operate normally during the Chuseok holiday period from the 28th of this month to the 3rd of next month.

The county plans to open the Memorial Park to enhance the convenience of visitors, and parking attendants will be deployed due to expected traffic congestion.

However, only the ‘Bongandang’ (columbarium) will be open to prepare for the concentration of mourners, and the ritual altar and rest areas will not be operated. Bringing in and consuming food within the Memorial Park is also restricted.

Efforts have been made to create a safe and pleasant memorial environment. The county recently repaired the external stairs of the Bongandang, removed underbrush and mowed grass along the park entrance, and completed the planting of cosmos flowers.

County Governor Kim Han-jong said, “Since a large number of mourners are expected due to the long holiday period, we will prepare more carefully to ensure there are no inconveniences.”
