Korea Safety Industry Expo Opens on the 13th at Ilsan KINTEX 2023 Korea Safety Industry Expo Guide Poster

The Korea Safety Industry Expo, where the latest products and technologies in the domestic disaster safety industry can be seen in one place, will be held from the 13th to the 15th of this month at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Goyang City.

Now in its ninth year, the Korea Safety Industry Expo is the largest exhibition in the domestic disaster safety industry sector. This year’s event is jointly hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

Since the first event in 2015, the expo was held at KINTEX until the fifth event in 2019. In 2020 and 2021, due to the spread of COVID-19, it was held online, and last year’s event took place at Daegu EXCO.

This expo is the first to be held since the enactment of the “Disaster Safety Industry Promotion Act” in January 2023, raising high expectations for contributing to the development of the domestic disaster safety industry.

First, aligned with this year’s theme, “Digital K-Safety Opening the Future of Korea’s Disaster Safety Industry,” disaster safety management products and technologies applying advanced digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analysis, and the Internet of Things, which respond to recent large-scale disasters and safety accident types, will be exhibited through the “Digital Disaster Management Special Pavilion.”

In the General Industry Pavilion, visitors can see excellent domestic disaster safety products and technologies in six rapidly advancing fields: ▲disaster prevention and fire ▲security ▲industrial safety ▲life safety ▲transportation and maritime ▲public safety. In addition to the exhibition, various business programs are prepared to help domestic disaster safety companies develop domestic and overseas markets.

On the first and second days of the expo, the Win-Win Growth Committee will host a “Large Corporations and Public Institutions Purchase Consultation” to help participating companies develop domestic markets, with about 40 major large corporations and public institutions participating as buyers.

From the day before the expo on the 12th until the closing day on the 15th, KOTRA will host the “Disaster Safety Companies Online and Offline Export Consultation,” facilitating online and on-site consultations between expo participants and 80 companies from 23 overseas countries to support the overseas market development of excellent domestic disaster safety products and technologies.

One-on-one consultations between expo participants and local government disaster safety officials will be held during the expo period, enabling disaster safety companies to increase business outcomes through meetings with various demand sources.

At the stage inside the second floor of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 and the expo hall, 42 disaster safety conferences and seminars will be held during the expo, where numerous experts and officials from various fields are expected to actively discuss disaster safety and related industries.

A “Visiting Safety Experience Classroom,” composed of about 30 disaster safety experience programs open to all citizens, will be operated in the plaza in front of KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2.

Choi Byung-gap, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Safety Management Office, said, “I hope this expo will contribute to the development of Korea’s disaster safety industry and serve as an opportunity for excellent domestic disaster safety products and technologies to be recognized beyond the domestic market and around the world.”

Meanwhile, the 2023 Korea Meteorological Climate Industry Expo and the 2023 Korea Construction Safety Expo will be held simultaneously at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2.
