Teragen Bio Splits Teragen Health Physically... "Service Advancement"

Digital health company Theragen Bio announced on the 12th that it will separate Theragen Health to advance its services and improve management efficiency, accelerating management innovation centered on digital transformation.

Theragen Bio and Theragen Health have selected key strategies for continuous growth by 2030, including ▲strengthening research and development (R&D) through capital attraction ▲improving management efficiency through corporate separation ▲digital transformation. Additionally, they have expanded and opened R&D labs optimized for the specialized business areas of both companies.

Based on a decade of domestic and international research-based genomic analysis capabilities, Theragen Bio is currently focusing its corporate-wide efforts on launching specialized clinical analysis services targeting clinical and pharmaceutical companies and developing neoantigen-based cancer vaccines. Theragen Health commercialized disease prediction genetic testing for the first time in Korea in 2010 and conducted clinical trials on disease genetic testing with 15 university hospitals nationwide in 2013.

A Theragen Bio representative stated, “We plan to invest in R&D to continuously strengthen the ‘predict and prevent’ ecosystem and actively contribute to solving the nation’s super-aging issues by pursuing digital transformation through close cooperation with medical institutions and healthcare organizations.”

Meanwhile, in September last year, Theragen Bio held an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and spun off its healthcare business division, which provided various personal genetic testing (PGS) services, to establish ‘Theragen Health.’ In the first half of this year, Theragen Health obtained certifications from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, respectively.
