Lotte Chilsung Obtains 'ISMS-P' Certification and Expands Scope... "Strengthening Information Security Capabilities"

ISMS-P Certification Acquired for 2 Consecutive Years

Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 12th that it has obtained the ‘ISMS-P’ certification for information security and personal information protection management system for the second consecutive year, following last year.

The ISMS-P certification is a domestic information security certification system that certifies whether a ‘series of measures and activities for information security and personal information protection’ comply with the standards jointly announced by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission.

To obtain this certification, one must meet 102 certification criteria items across three areas: establishment and operation of management systems, protection measure requirements, and personal information processing stage requirements. Certification is granted after an evaluation by certification bodies such as the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

Reflecting the increasing importance of personal information, Lotte Chilsung Beverage voluntarily obtained the ISMS-P certification last year, becoming the first in the beverage and liquor industry to do so. This year, to strengthen customer information protection, the certification scope was expanded not only to the main website but also to the OOS (Online Operating System), an online order and delivery information processing system.

A representative of Lotte Chilsung Beverage stated, “Our company recognized the growing importance of information security and met the certification standards through the ISMS-P audit, enhancing our operational level. Going forward, we plan to proactively respond to threats of personal information leakage and advance our information security management system through increased investment and system development.”
