Safe Restaurants must comply with three mandatory designation requirements: ▲providing utensils for serving food separately ▲hygienic management of spoons and chopsticks ▲employees wearing masks, as well as adhering to the Food Sanitation Act.

The selection target is limited to restaurants that serve general food among general and rest food establishments. Model restaurants or hygiene grade designated businesses are prioritized and designated through on-site verification without a separate application.

Meanwhile, general restaurants will be designated after on-site verification upon application by the business owner.

Designated establishments will be supported with Safe Restaurant designation plaques and supplies, and compliance with the mandatory requirements will be regularly inspected.
