The volunteer club "Anonymous Angels" from the Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology received an Excellence Award at the Volunteer Service Best Practice Contest held by Busan City on August 31.
Busan City hosted the "2023 Time to Change the World V x Busan" competition, where participants shared special stories, success stories, experiences, and suggestions created through volunteer work in a 5-minute presentation.
Park Ji-eun, the club president, introduced volunteer activities carried out by volunteers for the environment during the contest and proposed that, just as the first small domino piece topples the large final piece, everyone should start practicing small actions together, earning the Excellence Award.

The "Anonymous Angels" club members pick up litter abandoned at four beaches near Busan and around the school and conduct health education to prevent microplastics, working to raise residents' awareness of environmental pollution.
Professor Lee Sang-joo, advisor of the Department of Nursing, said, "Seeing recent climate changes, I thought it was necessary to look at what environmental protection activities we can do and to start practicing from small things," adding, "I want to continue club activities together with faculty and staff interested in plogging and marine pollution."
