National Pukyong National University selected 142 students from 66 teams for the 2023 Student Planning Evaluation Group and held an orientation on the 1st at Dongwon Jangbogogwan.
The Pukyong National University Student Planning Evaluation Group is operated to systematically collect students' opinions and reflect them in university management. It was first launched in 2019 and is now in its 5th term this year.
The Student Planning Evaluation Group will conduct individual and group interviews with students from all departments and majors until October to survey satisfaction in all areas of school life.
The evaluation group inspects and analyzes the university from the perspective of students as education consumers and reflects the results in university management to reform the curriculum and expand students' opportunities to participate in education policy.
Teams of 2nd to 4th-year undergraduate students conduct interview activities covering 17 questions in five areas: ▲liberal arts ▲major ▲academic management ▲core competencies and extracurricular activities ▲student support and others, collecting positive points, issues, and improvement suggestions for each question.

The active activities of the Student Planning Evaluation Group have received high responses from students. Last year, 60 evaluators directly interviewed 981 students, collecting a total of 18,392 opinions including positive feedback, issues, and improvement suggestions.
The overall satisfaction score given by participating students to Pukyong National University was 4.07 out of 5.
Pukyong National University compiles and analyzes these scores and individual opinions, shares them with all members, and uses them to improve curricula and policies.
In response to students' requests, the university is expanding the reflection of opinions, such as improving classroom environments. Pukyong National University also plans to encourage these activities by reviewing and awarding the evaluation group's final reports and activity UCCs.
Park Jong-yong, Director of the Educational Innovation Performance Institute at Pukyong National University, said, “From this year, we have expanded the channels for collecting opinions by including international students and student journalists in the Student Planning Evaluation Group,” adding, “We will continue to actively expand opportunities to reflect students' opinions to contribute to the development of the university.”
