On the 6th, the People Power Party named the allegations of false interviews related to Daejang-dong involving Kim Man-bae, the major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu, and Shin Hak-rim, former chairman of the Media Union, as the 'Presidential Election Manipulation Gate' and urged a thorough investigation into whether the Democratic Party of Korea is behind it.

Kim Ki-hyun, leader of the People Power Party, met with reporters at the National Assembly on the morning of the 6th and said regarding the false interview allegations against Kim and Shin, "Deliberately involving fake news in the presidential election to manipulate it undermines the foundation of democracy," adding, "Election manipulation must be eradicated from this land."

Following this, Leader Kim targeted Kim Man-bae and former Chairman Shin as an "election manipulation organization," mentioning the possibility that the Democratic Party of Korea is behind them. He stated, "The Democratic Party has played the role of a specialized election manipulation party as the mastermind behind past incidents such as the Kim Dae-up screen election manipulation case, the Druking election manipulation case, and the Ulsan mayoral election manipulation case," emphasizing, "A thorough investigation must also be conducted into whether the Democratic Party is behind this incident."

Within the People Power Party, an emergency meeting on the 'Presidential Election Manipulation Gate' was held to respond. Floor leader Yoon Jae-ok said at the meeting, "This incident cannot be seen simply as a deviation crime by Kim Man-bae and Shin Hak-rim," adding, "The beneficiaries will also be Representative Lee Jae-myung and the Democratic Party, so it is only natural to suspect the Democratic Party."

He continued, "The Democratic Party has remained completely silent about this incident, and if their silence continues, it is no different from admitting involvement in Kim Man-bae and Shin Hak-rim's presidential election manipulation."

Furthermore, the People Power Party plans to devote all efforts to uncovering the truth through the party's Media Policy Coordination Special Committee, members of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, and interpellations. Floor leader Yoon explained, "The Media Policy Coordination Special Committee related to this incident has suspended its regular activities to focus on uncovering the truth about the presidential election manipulation," adding, "The Legislation and Judiciary Committee will conduct urgent inquiries and interpellations to urge a thorough investigation and active prosecution."

The party also plans to take legal action if any criminal charges are confirmed during the activities of the Policy Coordination Special Committee.
