Seolhun's 'Impeachment Claim'... Lee Jae-myung Also Says "If Against People's Will, Must Be Removed"

"The Biggest Concern Is That They Become the Majority"

Democratic Party lawmakers Kim Yong-min and Seol Hoon have called for the impeachment of the president, and party leader Lee Jae-myung has also raised his voice, saying, "If someone acts against the will of the people, they must be removed," drawing attention.

On the 6th, during the YouTube program 'Kim Eo-jun's News Factory,' Lee said, "The players in the ring must truly work for the people, and our citizens should monitor them, point out their mistakes, and if they act against the will of the people and the national interest, they must be removed; that is democracy. Democracy ultimately means that the democratic people are the owners, and the owners must protect it."

These remarks are effectively aimed at the Yoon administration, and coupled with the calls for presidential impeachment by lawmakers Kim and Seol, the possibility that the 'impeachment theory' will gain traction within the Democratic Party cannot be ruled out.

He said, "Politics is carried out by the representatives we entrust, that is, politicians, who form alliances and exercise the power entrusted to them, but ultimately it is the people who do it," adding, "After all, aren't they the people we elected to represent us? And the lives of our people and the fate of this country can only be decided by the people themselves," appealing to the public.

He also emphasized that the ruling party should not become the majority in next year's general election. He said, "Next year's general election is really important in a democratic society, and the biggest concern is that although there is still a majority opposition party now preventing the laws and systems from being overhauled, they create enforcement ordinances and commit all sorts of misdeeds within the scope of these laws and systems. But if they become the majority party or gain power, they will likely overhaul the laws and systems entirely," adding, "If that happens, the entire system of this country will collapse."

He also expressed concerns about long-term rule. He said, "Would they commit such outrageous acts for the remaining short period of three years and six months?" and added, "I think they might be trying to change the system, cultural framework, and legal system entirely to pursue long-term rule or permanent rule through force."
