Youth Festival Held on September 16 to Celebrate Children's Pure Wish to Play Without Worries
...From Youth Club Performances to Street Dancer Aiki and TikToker Jin Jarim
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold the 2023 Gwanak Youth Festival, "The 2nd Cheongajeul: The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed," at Seoul National University Sports Complex on September 16.
The Gwanak Youth Festival is a festival "by youth, for youth," planned, promoted, and operated under the leadership of the youth festival planning team.
The youth festival planning team also decided the festival name. "Cheongajeul" means "a festival where youth enjoy without any worries," reflecting the pure wish of children who want to play without any concerns or worries.
The festival will begin at 11 a.m. with pre-event performances (▲Children and Youth EDM Festival ▲Street Dance), followed by the main event divided into Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1 features performances where youth showcase their honed talents such as cheerleading, dance, and band performances. Additionally, the festival’s excitement will be heightened with a congratulatory performance by HOOK, the famous street dance crew led by Aiki.
Part 2 will host a "Cheerful Sports Day" with 456 elementary, middle, and high school students from the local area. Various unique games designed to foster cooperation and enjoyment among youth will be prepared, including "The Rose of Sharon Has Bloomed," inspired by the drama Squid Game, as well as flipping the board, giant Jenga, and water gun games.
Side events include ▲Exciting Learning Camp ▲4th Industrial Revolution Experience ▲World Culture Experience, along with ▲Bubble Show ▲Zombie Performance ▲Balloon Art Performance ▲Air Bounce Playground ▲Photo Booth ▲Photo Zone ▲Cafe Zone ▲Food Trucks, offering a unique enjoyment not only for youth tired from studies but also for residents of all ages.
The festival will conclude with a short-form dance challenge featuring the popular TikToker among youth, Jin Jarim.
