Issuance of 13 Billion KRW Guro Love Gift Certificates for Chuseok Celebration

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) will issue Guro Love Gift Certificates worth 13 billion KRW to celebrate Chuseok. This measure aims to reduce the financial burden on residents and boost sales for small business owners and self-employed individuals, increasing the issuance scale by 2 billion KRW compared to last Lunar New Year.

The district will issue a total of 13 billion KRW in Guro Love Gift Certificates in two phases: 8 billion KRW at 5 PM on September 13 and 5 billion KRW at 9 AM on September 21.

The gift certificates can be used at 10,356 Seoul Pay affiliated stores within Guro-gu and can be purchased at a 7% discount off the face value. Additionally, 30% of the amount spent can be claimed as a tax deduction during year-end tax settlement.

Individuals can purchase up to 500,000 KRW in units of 10,000 KRW, with a holding limit of 1.5 million KRW per person. The purchase and holding limits apply cumulatively across both issuance phases.

The Guro Love Gift Certificates can be purchased with cash or Shinhan Card through five applications: Seoul Pay Plus, Shinhan Play, Shinhan SOL, T-money Pay, and Money Tree.

A Guro-gu official stated, “Using the Guro Love Gift Certificates not only reduces household financial burdens but also helps increase sales for small business owners and revitalizes the local economy. We hope everyone has a richer Chuseok holiday with the Guro Love Gift Certificates.”
