SK Hynix Holds Inauguration Ceremony for Volunteer Group Nurturing Future ICT Talent

2023 Heinstein Happy Dreaming Volunteer Group

SK Hynix announced on the 4th that it held the '2023 Hainstein Happy Dreaming Volunteer Group Launch Ceremony' at its headquarters in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province on the 31st of last month. The launch ceremony was attended by Oh Ji-cheol, chairman of the social welfare corporation Heart-Heart Foundation, Park Yong-geun, Vice President of SK Hynix (in charge of Icheon CPR), and 60 members of the Happy Dreaming Volunteer Group.

The Happy Dreaming Volunteer Group is an organization composed of SK Hynix employees and science and engineering university students to provide mentoring for elementary, middle, and high school students interested in science. Forty university student volunteers are responsible for mentoring and academic support in science and engineering career paths for elementary, middle, and high school students, while 20 SK Hynix volunteers provide education to help the university student volunteers carry out their activities systematically and are in charge of employment and career mentoring.

Since 2018, SK Hynix has been operating the social contribution program 'Hainstein (Hynix + Einstein)' with the goal of nurturing future information and communication technology (ICT) talents, and conducts Happy Dreaming as an affiliated activity. Hainstein is operated with a happiness sharing fund voluntarily contributed by SK Hynix employees. Through various Hainstein programs, the number of beneficiary students increased from 946 in 2018 to 3,683 last year. The cumulative number is about 10,000.

Vice President Park said, "Hainstein is a social contribution project operated by many people working together to bridge educational gaps by region and nurture future ICT talents," adding, "We will continue to support the development of future ICT talents and take the lead in positive social change."
