Apartment Home Service Platform Apartmenti Opens Mobile Fire Safety Facility Unit Inspection Service

Apartment home service platform Apartmenti (CEO Choi Byung-in) announced on the 4th that it has newly launched a fire safety facility unit inspection service through mobile.

This mobile fire safety facility unit inspection service follows the revision of the "Fire Safety Facility Installation and Management Act" (abbreviated as Fire Safety Facility Act) on December 1, 2022, which requires managers and residents to directly inspect fire safety facilities within apartment units. The service allows convenient access to detailed guidance on fire safety facility unit inspections, inspection methods, and registration through a mobile app.

In particular, by inserting detailed images for each inspection item, users can accurately complete the inspection without errors. Various information necessary for fire safety facility unit inspections, such as videos related to the Fire Safety Facility Act and enforcement regulations produced by the National Fire Agency, are also provided. Once the inspection information is registered, it is transmitted in real-time to the residential complex management office through linkage with the management office's computer system.

The revised Fire Safety Facility Act requires apartment managers to conduct fire safety facility inspections for all units within two years during self-inspections. Apartments conducting only operational inspections must inspect at least 50% of all units per inspection. Apartments conducting comprehensive inspections must inspect at least 30% of all units per inspection (30% comprehensive, 30% operational) as a principle.

For units not participating in self-inspections, residents must directly inspect the fire safety facilities within their units. If any unauthorized changes or removals of fire safety facilities within units are detected in the self-inspection results, administrative orders for restoration will be issued. Failure to comply within the designated period may result in imprisonment for up to three years or a fine of up to 30 million KRW under Article 57 of the Fire Safety Facility Installation and Maintenance Act.

Yoo Kwan-hyung, team leader of the Apartmenti business planning team, said, "As the installation of fire safety facilities is being mandated to prevent fires in advance and to enable quick response in case of accidents, the government is revising and enforcing the Fire Safety Facility Act to improve efficiency." He added, "This mobile fire safety facility unit inspection service was designed to improve the inconvenience of the current manual inspection records and to allow ordinary people to conduct inspections easily and accurately."

Meanwhile, Apartmenti, which supports management fee payments for over 33,000 apartment complexes and collective buildings nationwide, is an integrated apartment solution providing functions such as management fee inquiry and payment, parcel reservation, resident voting, and community services through mobile and PC. It also offers various lifestyle convenience services including credit score management based on payment history, a resident-to-resident secondhand trading platform called 'Kkuldanji,' mobile resident card service, and apartment visitor vehicle reservation service.
