Hana Bank Selected as Top Retirement Pension Provider... Ranked No.1 Among Banks

Awarded the Minister of Employment and Labor Prize

Hana Bank announced on the 3rd that it was selected as an excellent retirement pension operator in this year’s ‘Retirement Pension Operator Evaluation’ hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

In this evaluation, Hana Bank received the highest score among bank-sector retirement pension operators and was awarded the Minister of Employment and Labor Award, given to the top retirement pension operator in each industry sector.

Hana Bank explained that it achieved high scores in areas such as product management, organization and service, education, and information provision capabilities. Specifically, it received excellent evaluations for ▲comprehensive corporate pension asset (DB reserves) management support system ▲support for enrollment in the pre-designated management system (default option) (including non-face-to-face agreement systems) ▲customer management (providing default option performance evaluation reports through external specialized institutions) ▲retirement planning education using various channels such as YouTube ▲unclaimed reserve refund guidance and performance ▲introduction of a lifetime fee exemption system for customers starting their pensions.

Jo Young-soon, Head of the Pension Business Division at Hana Bank, said, “Being selected as an excellent operator in this comprehensive evaluation and receiving the Minister of Employment and Labor Award is an achievement made at a time when domestic retirement pension reserves are approaching 350 trillion won, making retirement pensions more important than ever.” He added, “We will continue to provide differentiated services such as lifecycle-tailored management and retirement pension yield management.”

Hana Bank ranked first across all sectors in net increase of retirement pension reserves in the first half of this year. It is leading the retirement pension market by conducting seminars with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and launching a customized ‘AI Pension Investment Solution Service.’ In 2022, it launched ‘Hana Pension Doctor,’ a specialized retirement pension brand embodying the business value of ‘comprehensive pension asset management that customers can trust and entrust for life.’
