Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Signs Agreement with Nowon Police Station on Stalking Crime Victim Prevention Support Project on the 31st
On the 31st at 2:30 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, signed a business agreement with the Nowon Police Station in the mayor's office to promote a support project for preventing stalking crime victims.
With social anxiety rising recently due to stalking and home intrusion crimes, the district will provide home security equipment sets to those who have experienced such crimes.
Through the agreement, the district will provide administrative support such as purchasing goods and managing the project, while the police will focus on selecting recipients and promptly responding to emergency situations.
The support items include five products: a ‘smart doorbell’ that can identify external visitors and loiterers, home CCTV, a ‘voice-recognition wireless emergency bell’ connected to the district control center in case of emergencies, a phone-attached ‘Touch Sound’ device that can send location to acquaintances, and window locks.
On this day, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Lee Seung-yeol, Chief of Nowon Police Station, and four other officials attended.
Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “I hope that the security equipment supported by the district will strengthen home security so residents can rest peacefully,” and added, “We will continue to focus on creating a safe city free from crime so that citizens can live with peace of mind.”
