Hapcheon-gun Prepares 889 Billion Won Budget for 2nd Supplementary Appropriation

Strengthening the Safety Net for Residents
Focusing on Revitalizing the Local Economy

Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 1st that it has prepared the second supplementary budget for this year at a total of 889 billion KRW, an increase of 41.7 billion KRW (4.93%) compared to the first supplementary budget, and submitted it to the county council.


The general account totals 858.1 billion KRW, an increase of 41.5 billion KRW (5.08%) compared to the first supplementary budget, while the special account is 30.9 billion KRW, up 200 million KRW (0.98%) from the first supplementary budget.

According to the county, this supplementary budget was prepared with a focus on strengthening the safety net for residents, revitalizing the local economy, and ensuring the smooth implementation of key projects during the 8th local government administration.


Looking at the expenditure budget by sector, increases were made as follows: 10 billion KRW for agriculture, forestry, and marine fisheries; 11.8 billion KRW for land and regional development; 1.8 billion KRW for transportation and logistics; 8.4 billion KRW for culture and tourism; 2.1 billion KRW for public order and safety; 2.1 billion KRW for social welfare; and 1 billion KRW for education.


Major ongoing projects include ▲310 million KRW for small-scale resident demand projects and local maintenance projects ▲440 million KRW for agricultural infrastructure related to drought preparedness ▲160 million KRW for the creation of nighttime content at the Bonsai Park Lumina project ▲200 million KRW for the construction of Hapcheon Multipurpose Gymnasium ▲160 million KRW for the expansion of community sports facilities ▲116 million KRW for disaster prevention and response system establishment ▲880 million KRW for river maintenance and dredging projects, all of which have been increased in the budget.


County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, “Since the launch of the 8th local government administration, we have been listening carefully to the voices of residents at key sites,” adding, “We will thoroughly review our promises to residents and do our utmost to realize administration that residents can feel.”


The supplementary budget will be finalized after deliberation and resolution at the 275th Hapcheon County Council extraordinary session, which will open on the 4th.
