Comprehensive engineering specialist SSC Engineering has succeeded in securing a large-scale order, signaling a positive outlook for its performance in the second half of the year.
On the 31st, SSC Engineering announced that it had signed a contract with Kumho Petrochemical for the main construction of a precision chemical plant worth 72.8 billion KRW, including value-added tax. This amount exceeds half of last year's annual sales, and the contract period extends until December 31, 2024.
This project is the main construction phase of the ADA production facility expansion at Kumho Petrochemical's Yeosu Precision Chemical Plant, for which SSC Engineering will be responsible for procurement and construction (PC). ADA is a raw material necessary for producing antioxidants that enhance the stability and durability of rubber products.
According to the company, a large number of major projects in advanced industries such as secondary batteries, semiconductors, and hydrogen are lined up for the remaining second half of the year, accelerating the flow of new orders. Following this order, the total scale of targeted projects actively participating in bids for the second half reaches 160 billion KRW.
Wang Dae-sik, Vice President of SSC Engineering, stated, “We will ensure that the solid order flow in the second half of this year becomes the driving force for improved performance and expanded profitability,” adding, “We will strategically respond to various project bids to continuously expand high-quality new orders and devote all our capabilities to broadening the scope of orders.”
